You always mention your schooling while discussing leadership. In today’s world, it’s rare to find a leader without a formal education. The only government that believes education is unnecessary is hereditary monarchy. Given that the West is recognised for exporting its educational ideas, it may seem odd that the world’s most educated head of government comes from the West. But it’s feasible. You’re wrong. Robert Gabriel Mugabe, Zimbabwe’s former president, has approximately ten honorary degrees and seven undergraduate and master’s degrees from recognised universities. Gabriel and Mona Matibiri, two impoverished Shona people, gave birth to Robert Gabriel Mugabe on February 21, 1924, in Kutama, Southern Rhodesia (Zimbabwe’s former colonial name). Mugabe’s parents were Gabriel and Mona Matibiri. In many ways, 1934 was amazing. Since he spent so much time in the library as a child, Robert has been known as an avid reader. In order to support his family and himself, he became a teacher at the same school he had attended as a student and enrolled in Kutama College’s training programme. In 1945, he left Kutama for better opportunities. After earning his bachelor’s degree in 1951, Robert Mugabe taught at the Chalimbana Teacher Training College in Northern Rhodesia for four years. During this time, he was Zambia’s college principal. While working here, he attended the University of London to get a Bachelor of Science in Economics. He also spoke about Shabani at Dadaya Mission School. He taught well from 1951 to 1960, when he entered politics. He was political before that.

In 1951, Mona’s third child obtained a scholarship at Fort Hare University, where he earned a BA in English Literature and History. He received this degree from the university. He earned a Bachelor of Education degree by taking equal coursework after returning to the US in 1953.

Roberts received a Master of Law, Bachelor of Law, and Master of Science in Economics from the University of London’s independent study programme while in prison. All three of Roberts’ degrees were earned at the University of London. Additionally, he holds a Bachelor of Administration degree from UNISA. Zimbabwe’s 95-year-old president received 11 honorary degrees, but the country eventually revoked three of them owing to weak leadership and governance. Today, just a small percentage of people want multiple degrees. As seen by his hilarious quips and grade ranges, Mugabe was a nice person. He was great because he was Zimbabwe’s president.
