
According to the police, the victim did not survive their injuries and passed away. The statement that follows was made by the Savannah Police Department on Tuesday: “An accident that occurred on White Bluff Road on October 3 and resulted in the death of a 36-year-old man from Savannah is being investigated by the Traffic Investigation Unit of the Savannah Police Department. After being struck by a vehicle near the intersection of White Bluff Road and Abercorn Street at approximately 10:40 a.m. on October 3, law enforcement officers arrived in the area and found Johnathan Beck suffering from significant injuries. He was taken to the hospital, but unfortunately, his injuries proved fatal, and he passed away there.
A preliminary investigation revealed that Beck was involved in a collision with traffic on White Bluff. Beck was unable to be seen by the driver of a Ford Explorer that was traveling northbound on White Bluff and was in the midst of making a right turn onto Abercorn Street. Beck was in the road. At the time of the occurrence, he was not in the crosswalk where it occurred.
The inquiry into the crash is still ongoing.”
