The Uefa champions league returned for its fourth round of fixtures in the group stages with topel teams across Europe seeking to qualify into the next round.

Group A

Defending Champions, Bayern Munich saw off challenge from RB Salzburg as strikes from Robert Lewandowski Kingsley Coman and Leroy Sane sealed a 3-1 win which guaranteed their qualification from the group.

Atletico Madrid were also unable to find their way past a stubborn Locomotiv Moscow who proved to be a handful for Diego Someone’s men who could only muster a goalless draw at the Wanda Metropolitan stadium.

Group B

Real Madrid boosted their qualification hopes with an impressive 2-0 win over ten men Inter Milan who looked out of sorts after Arturo Vidal was sent off in the first half.

Borussia Moncheglabach had already defeated Shakar doneskt 4-0 in an early kickoff fixture on Wednesday with the Germans just in need of just a point to qualify from the group.

Group C

On Wednesday, Manchester city also became the first English team to qualify with a 100 percent record as they sealed a slender 1-0 win over Olympiacos.

Portuguese side Porto also moved one step closer to qualification following their 2-0 win over Marseille in France.

Group D

Liverpool 100 percent record in this season’s Uefa champions league was brought to an end on Wednesday as they were comprehensively beaten by a much much improved Atlanta side who revived their qualification hopes with a 2-0 at Anfield.

Eredivisie Champions Ajax moved an inch closer to the round of 16 as they sealed an impressive 3-1 win over Midjtylland.

Group E

On Tuesday we saw Chelsea travel to Rennes where the blues draggedbthemselves to the round of 16 thanks to a late strike from Oliver Giroud who handed Frank Lampard’s men a 2-1 victory on the night.

Sevilla also secured a late 2-1 win against a disciplined Krasnodar side who were on par with the Spaniards for most of the game.

Group F

Borussia Dortmund were able to secure a 3-0 win on Tuesday as they maintained their spot as group leaders ahead of 2nd placed Lazio who are not far behind themselves after their 3-1 win over Zenith in Rome.

Group G

A “Messiless” Barcelona side maintained their 100 percent record in this season Uefa Champions league group stages with a 4-0 trashing of Dynamo Kiev in Ukraine.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Alvaro Morata also combined to help Juventus to qualification as the pair both struck to lift Andrea Pirlo’s men to an important 2-1 win.

Group H

In group H, Manchester united consolidated their place at the top of their group with a thumping 4-1 win over Istanbul Basakeshir.

Paris Saint German also dragged their way to a 1-0 victory over RB Leipzig in the other fixture of the group via a first half penalty from star man Neymar Jnr.
