Emiliano Martinez is ready to embrace a fresh challenge after completing his move to Aston Villa from Arsenal.
The goalkeeper arrive at the Villa Park on a four- year deal with a stellar reputation following an outstanding end to the 2019/20 campaign with the Gunners.
The 28- year- old Argentinian, who has been with the Gunners for ten years, made nine Premier League appearances last season, keeping three clean sheets and 34 saves.
He also played 14 matches in domestic cup ties and UEFA Europa League last term.
Martinez was between the sticks when Arsenal won the FA Cup final against Chelsea and when the beat Liverpool in the Community Shield.
Martinez is Villa’s third summer signing after the arrivals of full- back Matty Cash and striker Ollie Watkins.
Aston Villa kick off their Premier League campaign at home against Sheffield United on Monday 21 September.
