A South Carolina woman died from chest injuries after an umbrella stuck her in the chest at the beach.
Thomas Bell, a public information officer for Horry County, told The State that Tammy Perreault was sitting on a beach when an umbrella flew up and pierced her. She turned 63.
Beach Umbrella death – There were “a lot of good Samaritans” and “off-duty doctors” who “offered the victim first assistance on the beach,” Bell said. They made the proper choice by offering aid and solace to the victim.
The public information office of Horry County did not respond right away to PEOPLE’s request for comment.
