The Bible Society of Nigeria (BSN) has urged Christians to cultivate the habit of reading the Bible daily, according to a report released today by NNN NEWS.

According to the Nigerian News Agency Online, “The Bible Society of Nigeria is a non-denominational organization charged with the translation, distribution, publication of the Bible and making God’s word affordable and available for people to read. read”.
Furthermore, speaking Sunday at a press conference to mark the opening of the 20th edition of its Marathon Bible Reading (MBR), held at Williams Memorial Methodist Church, Ebute-Meta, Lagos State, Pastor Samuel Sanusi, Director General Executive (CEO) of the society made the call to Christians, based on the report.
He said that “MBR was an annual, week-long, non-competitive Bible reading that allowed participants to read the Bible in any language of their choice without interruption for five days.” Also, according to the report, the theme of the 2022 edition of the MBR is “The Word is God,” according to the report.
Meanwhile, Pastor Sanusi encouraged “people to soak up the culture of reading the Bible daily, while asking Nigerians to return to God by reading and obeying His Word, according to the report.
Furthermore, Pastor Sanusi in his statement pointed out that this year’s edition starts on Monday, September 5 at 93 different reading centers across Lagos State. Adding that the program will be held simultaneously in an additional 117 centers in 18 other states across the country, including Nasarawa, Adamawa, Bauchi, Gombe, Borno, Yobe, Ekiti, Ondo, Osun, Oyo Taraba, Kogi, Kwara, Ogbomoso, Imo, Edo, Abia and Abuja, based on the report.
However, the climax of the conference was a Bible reading marathon in five different languages, and the society handed out participation certificates to five of the readers, Pastor Sanusi said, according to the report.
