Capalbo Strong was formed in 2017 by (mostly) Fairfield Prep hockey team moms to support Charlie Capalbo’s first battle with cancer. Charlie has since fought cancer twice (non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma and leukemia) and is currently fighting his third. Throughout his four-year journey, he shared his story gracefully and openly, and continued to inspire the community and others with his positivity, humor, resilience and courage.
Capalbo Strong is currently supporting him and his family and raising awareness about childhood cancer. While Charlie was in remission, all funds raised went directly to childhood cancer charities, including Child Life Services at Bost Children’s Hospital, where he has been treated since 2018.
Capalbo Strong is currently applying for 501c3 status.
