
Chelsea Clinton has slammed Ivanka Trump, saying she hasn’t spoken to her former friend since she “crossed over the dark side” nearly six years ago.
Chelsea, 42, revealed the news in an interview “Watch Andy Cohen Live” She was joined by mum Hillary, 74, on Thursday night.
“I would say we’re friends,” Chelsea said of her relationship with Ivanka, 40, “she’s not the one I call when I’m curious about something about my kids or I’m discussing life decisions. people, but we were definitely friends. Then she went to the dark side.”
The pair last spoke in November 2016, when Chelsea’s mum lost the presidential election to Ivanka’s dad Donald.
In his conversation with Andy Cohen, Chelsea also hinted that Ivanka’s husband, Jared Kushner, lied about a claim in his new book, “Breaking History.”
Jared wrote that Ivanka contacted Chelsea after the bitter 2016 election, inviting her to dinner so they could continue their “cordial relationship.”
“I did talk to Ivanka in November 2016, and it was the last time I talked to her,” Chelsea said. “But I don’t remember being invited to dinner.”
The couple – who both have three children of similar age – had been good friends for years before politics broke out between them. The Washington Post has reached out to Trump’s representatives for comment on Clinton’s latest revelations.
In 2015, Chelsea told people: “Friendship is always more important than politics. I learned growing up watching my parents befriend people from different political affiliations in Arkansas.”
Later that year, she told Fashion: “I still think she [Ivanka] A very close friend who also considers me. We have a good relationship. “

“She always gets to know everyone around her and makes sure everyone is enjoying the moment.” Chelsea mumbles further. “This awareness reminds me in some ways of my dad and his ability to add joy to a room. There’s nothing superficial about Ivanka.”
In August 2016, three months before the election, Ivanka told Harper’s Market: “I still think of her as a very close friend, and she thinks of me too. We have a great relationship.”
“I’m not running for office and neither will she, so of course we’re still friends,” she added.
However, Chelsea later changed their tune, telling Andy Cohen in 2020: “I have no interest in befriending someone who is not only complicit but actively involved in this government’s daily brutal and inept conflict.”

She added: “We’ve been in touch since the start of the campaign, but it’s really hard when someone is actively embracing their candidate, whether it’s their father or not, who’s selling racism, sexism, anti-Semitism Islamophobia and Islamophobia. Homophobia and transphobia and conspiracy theories and lies, are fundamentally corrupt.”
Chelsea made headlines this week for a talk show with mom Hillary to promote their new Apple TV+ series “Gusty.
