Nigerian actress, Kemi Lala Akindoju, has advised the founder of Salvation Ministries David Ibiyeomie to desist from actions that are against the teachings of the Bible.

Desists from actions that are against teachings of the Bible - Lala Akindoju Tells Pastor lailasnews

Ibiyeomie had in a viral video attacked Daddy Freeze, calling him a bastard for daring to challenge his father in the Lord, Bishop David Oyedepo.

‘‘If he insults me, I won’t mind; but insult Oyedepo, that bastard who is his father? Does Daddy Freeze have a father? That bastard who was born by a Somalian. The day I hear him insult Oyedepo again I’ll deal with him,’’ Ibiyeomie said.

Reacting to the video on Wednesday morning, Lala said:

“Please that is not what the Bible preaches.”

“It is wrong, SO WRONG! First as a supposed Christian, then as leader and finally as a human being. I’m even more shocked at the congregation echoing the insults.

“This is why it is important to know God for yourself, read your bible yourself, and don’t get blinded by religion.

“I am very ashamed of him only because he has misrepresented the gospel of Jesus. Proverbs 18 is a good scripture to meditate on today. Selah!”

Daddy Freeze, has also reacted to the video stating that even with a gun to his head, he would continue to preach the truth about Christ, the scriptures and Christianity.

He said he never insulted Oyedepo, but only drew his attention to Ephesians 5:21 after Oyedepo quoted verse 22 of the same chapter on submission of the woman to her husband at home.

“Correcting scripturally is not an insult. Christ was criticised, Paul was criticised, Peter was criticised, even the Pharisees were criticised, so there is no way you are going to preach a message from the scripture that you will not get criticism.

“I found it very devastating that just to get at me, Pastor Ibiyeomie, would drag the whole Somali nation, I am very proud to associate with Somalians because they are very beautiful people. Beautiful African people like you and I. It is hate speech to undermine them with derogatory words ‘Is he not just a Somalian? To all my fans and followers in Somalia, I love you all and proud to be associated with you, even though by birth I am not a Somalian; my mum is European, my father is Yoruba.”
