Popular Japanese cartoonist, Fujiko Fujio, real name Motoo Abiko, has died at the age of 88. He was known for creating beloved children’s cartoons including “Ninja Hattori” and “Little Ghost Q-Taro”. Besides, he was also the creator of the popular cartoon “Doraemon”. Reports claim the cartoonist passes away on Thursday morning, April 7, 2022. According to police, Fujiko was found dead at his home in Kawasaki, near Tokyo. Needless to say, the news of his sudden passing has left everyone shocked. At around 8:40 AM, police received a call reporting that someone had collapsed at the artist’s home, but Fujiko had already died by the time authorities arrived. Police are looking into the circumstances surrounding Fujiko’s death, although a quick inspection indicated that he had no suspicious injuries or wounds. However, the officials declined to confirm the reports. It looks like the investigation is ongoing to find out what exactly happened to the artist.

Ever since the news appeared online, people expressed their sadness. Everyone who knew him and had worked with him is shattered, to say the least. As per sources, Fujiko Fujio A is most known for his collaboration with Fujiko F. Fujio, real name Hiroshi Fujimoto, as Fujiko Fujio, a collective pseudonym. The world-famous Doraemon manga, about the titular robot cat from the future and his relationship with the youngster Nobita, was created by the duo. From 1970 through 1996, the manga was published.

Before splitting up in 1987, Abiko went by the alias Fujiko Fujio A, while Fujimoto went by the pseudonym Fujiko Fujio F (after Fujiko F. Fujio). In 1996, Fujimoto passed away. Abiko also wrote a number of successful manga series such as Warau Salesman, Ninja Hattori-Kun, Pro Golfer Saru, and Kaibutsu-Kun. It is no doubt to state that Ninja Hattori was one of the most hit cartoons that have still have been running and entertaining a large section of people.

Let us add that Ninja Hattori inspired a television anime that reportedly ran from 1981 to 1987. It also inspired a total of three anime films from 1982 to 1984 along with a live-action film in 2004. Almost every cartoon went on to inspire several films and television animes. As of now, the cause of the death of Fujiko Fuji has not been revealed yet.
