According to the officials, nine fire tenders were rushed to the scene to extinguish the Delhi Transport Corporation bus fire. It is coming forward that it took the officials more than an hour to bring the situation under control. Although no one was injured, it is reported two shops in the area were engulfed by the flames which whirled menacingly under the impact of strong winds. Apart from the shops, no person got injured.

Fire department officials stated that the fire broke out at 2:20 PM in the DTC bus plying on route number 534. It runs from Anand Vihar ISBT to Mehrauli. Siddharthan, Delhi BJP General Secretary Org, shared the video footage of the burning bus on Twitter. The politician accused the Delhi government and Kejriwal of the incident and said that people will be safe from such accidents if the government gets maintenance of DTC buses on time.
