The Buffalo Bills selected Singletary with the 74th overall pick in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft. He joined a backcourt that included veterans LeSean McCoy, Frank Gore and TJ Yeldon, but he rose to prominence with the Bills after McCoy was released as part of a final preseason cut.
2019
Singletary made his NFL debut on September 8, 2019 with the Buffalo Bills. In the Bills’ 17-16 win over the New York Jets, he finished with four carries for 70 yards and five catches for another 28 yards. A week later, Singletree scored his first rushing touchdown in the NFL in a 28-14 victory over the New York Giants. He finished with six carries for 57 yards before leaving the game with a hamstring injury. Singletary had a breakout performance in a 24-9 victory over the Washington Redskins in Week 9, rushing for 95 yards on 20 runs, one touchdown and three catches for 45 yards. In the Week 13 Thanksgiving game against the Dallas Cowboys, Singletary had 63 yards on 14 carries and 38 yards on 3 catches, including a 28-yard touchdown from wide receiver John Brown to help him The team won 26-15. Overall, he ended the 2019 season with 29 catches for 194 yards, 2 touchdowns, 151 rushing yards and 775 rushing yards.
2020
To complement Singletary’s elusive running style, Buffalo selected Zack Moss in the 2020 NFL Draft after veteran Frank Gore left through free agency. Despite sharing the workload with Moss all season, Singletary ended the year as Buffalo’s leading rusher. His biggest run was a 51-yard touchdown against the Denver Broncos in Week 15, giving him 687 yards and two touchdowns. He also completed 38 passes for 269 yards. Also, he turned the ball over once, not four, in his first season.
2021
In Week 2 against the Miami Dolphins, Singletary scored his first touchdown of the year on a 46-yard dash, during which he hit 20.29, according to NFL NextGen Stats mph high speed. Before being promoted to the starting center back, Singletary shared the backcourt with Moss and newly signed free agent Matt Breda for the first three months of the season, and was underwhelming as the offensive line struggled to block the run. He had at least 78 yards from scrimmage in Weeks 14 and 18 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Carolina Panthers, New England Patriots, Atlanta Falcons and New York Jets. Against Atlanta, Singleterry had 23 carries for 110 yards and two touchdowns, both career highs in a single game. Again, he beat the Jets with two touchdowns, one rush and one catch.
