
Look who’s grown up! After appearing to be showbiz babies for their entire careers, four of Disney Channel’s most famous alumni — all of whom have gone on to graduate as major players in the pop music industry — are finally going 3-0 this year.
Selena Gomez turned 30 last month, and Demi Lovato — who released her new album “Holy Fvck” on Friday — hit the mark on Saturday. Over the next few months, Nick Jonas and Miley Cyrus will also join the ’30s club.
On this landmark occasion, we look back at how they’ve grown from Disney Channel into their fourth decade.
Serena Gomes
date of birth: July 22, 1992
Disney Channel Breakthrough: From 2007 to 2012, she played Alex Russo in “Wizards of Waverly.”
Popular Power Moves: After getting top 10 hits like “Come & Get It” in 2013, “Good for You” in 2015 and 2016 “Give me my own hand,” Gomez climbed all the way to No. 1 in 2019 with “Lose You to Love Me.”
Significant others: Gomez is dating her Disney Channel star Nick Jonas – even appearing on the Jonas Brothers “Burn It Up” Video 2008 – Then on and off with Justin Bieber. She switched to DJ producer Zedd before working with The Weeknd in 2017. Recently, there have been rumors that she is dating Italian filmmaker Andrea Lervolino.

Moment of growth: Gomez has bravely dealt with physical and mental health issues. After being diagnosed with lupus in the early ’10s, Gomez underwent a kidney transplant in 2017. In 2016, she entered rehab to deal with anxiety and depression, before revealing in 2020 that she had bipolar disorder.
Life at 30: She starred in “Only Murder in the Building” while also hosting the HBO Max cooking show “Selena + Chef.” She’s also working on her fourth solo studio album, the follow-up to “Rare” in 2020.
Demi Lovato
date of birth: August 20, 1992
Disney Channel Breakthrough: She played Mitchie Torres in the 2008 “Camp Rock” film and its sequel, “Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam,” and also starred in the “Sonny Chance” series from 2009 to 2011.

Significant others: Cyrus had dated Nick Jonas and model Justin Gaston before beginning an on-and-off relationship with her “Last Song” co-star Liam Hemsworth that eventually led to the pair’s marriage in 2018 . Cyrus is dating Australian singer Cody Simpson until 2020 after his spouse split in 2019. Now the pop diva is in a relationship with Lily’s drummer Maxx Morando.
Moment of growth: After Cyrus appears naked in Hannah Montana’s ghost to rest “Wrecking Ball” Video, she famously tweaked Robin Thicke in her controversial performance at VMAS in 2013. Then the singer came out as pansexual in 2015.
