Arsenal forgot their last campaigns disappointments where they finished at the eighth position as they traveled to craven Cottage for their opening fixture against newly promoted London rivals Fulham.
The North London side emerged victorious 3-0 over Fulham thanks to goals from Alexander Lacazette, new boy Gabriel Magalhaes and skipper Pierre Emerick Aubameyang who was has been their top scorer for the last two games.
The main highlight of the game was the debut of ex Chelsea Winger Willian and his fellow countryman Gabriel and to make matters interesting the two Brazilians contributed to the three Arsenal goals.
Willian showed his prowess for involving in all the goals for the Gunners where he gave two assists in the second in half to the former Lille center back Gabriel before he set up for Gabonese forward Aubameyang.
The Brazilian winger continued to a real force to Mikel Arteta’s until he was brought off his position taken by Ivorian winger Nicolas Pepe who played for some minutes before the game was over.
Despite Introducing himself with a nice corner before showing great flair to work an angle into the box although his cross was blocked, a section of Arsenal fans took to social media to show their frustration to Pepe.
They compared him to Willian in the game citing that the Arsenal’s attack got weaker when Pepe stepped in for the former Chelsea man.
