He was found at about 3 p.m. in Hamilton Heights, Manhattan, on the platform of the northbound No. 1 train at 137th Street-City College station with a knife cut in the abdomen.

The body of Lauie Michael Tagaloa, stabbed in the abdomen, was found on the platform of the northbound No. 1 train at the 137th Street-City College station in Hamilton Heights around 3 p.m.
Police believe the young man started a fight with an acquaintance outside and then continued inside the City College Station on 137th Street. Eventually, the teenager was stabbed in the abdomen. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was later determined to be dead.
The person was arrested by police at West 173rd Street and Broadway in Manhattan.
He was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment due to bleeding in his back and abdomen and wounds to his left hip. The cause of those injuries and his involvement in the incident are still under investigation, NYPD Transportation Chief Jason Wilcox said at a news conference Saturday night.

Online users have been sharing graphic witness footage of brawls and stabbings. Mr. Tagaloa recently celebrated his daughter’s birthday thanks to a donation of more than $6,000 through GoFundMe to help the family, a close friend told The Courier-Mail.
Police said Mr. Tagaloa was stabbed to death in a brawl between two important groups of men at a shopping outlet on Brunswick Street around 4 am and continued in the food court at the train station.

Emergency services were allegedly alerted shortly after police were able to observe the incident on CCTV, according to District Duty Officer Sean Cryer and the video that appeared on Twitter.
The men were said to have insulted each other at Valley Metro headquarters before one of the men allegedly grabbed a knife and threatened them.
Soon after, Lauie Michael Tagaloa, 24, was shot in the neck and fell in a pool of blood. Later, he died there.
Mr. Tagaloa was seen falling backward and unconscious with a neck injury as the two fought. Police are interviewing witnesses who provided first aid to Mr. Tagaloa to save him.
