The long-troubled son Daniel Auster son of popular novelist Paul Auster passed away on Tuesday 26 April 2022. Daniel was 44 years old at the time he breathed his last. Daniel had a long criminal history. Currently, also he was out on bail, he was under the charges of Manslaughter over the death of her 10-month-old infant daughter. According to the reports, Daniel died due to an overdose of drugs. Further reports claim Daniel was arrested by the authorities on Easter Sunday over the manslaughter charges of her 10-month-old infant daughter’s death.

Investigation officers released a statement regarding Daniel’s death and stated that Daniel was found with a drug Paraphernalia. They also stated that he may have overdosed himself with this drug accidentally. Officers have confirmed that it was the same drug that Daniel used to consume regularly. But further investigation is still under process and so no conclusions can be made right now.

Daniel was a long-troubled son of popular novelist Paul Auster. He was in the headlines since last year 1 November, after her 10-month-old infant daughter Ruby was found dead at his residence in Bergen street in park slope, Brooklyn New York. Ruby was immediately rushed to Methodist hospital, where she was declared dead upon her arrival.
Ruby’s autopsy reports confirmed that she died due to an overdose of drugs, and the drugs were fentanyl and heroin. The reason behind her death was confirmed but, how she consumed those drugs was unclear and unsorted.

Ruby’s mother Zuzan stated, that the baby was okay and awake before she for work. She stated that she left the baby with her father and went to her work. Later during the investigation, Auster accepted that he injected heroin into her daughter through an injection. After injecting he slept and when he woke up he saw the baby turned blue and was lying lifeless. After Auster’s confession, he was arrested by the police officials under the charges of manslaughter and endangering the welfare of a child. He was currently out on bail when he died.

Daniel is the son of internationally acclaimed popular authors Paul Auster and Lydia Davis. Lydia Davis too is an internationally acclaimed popular author. Although Paul and Lydia are not together anymore, the couple parted ways in the year 1978. Coming from such iconic parents Daniel has tarnished the public image of his parents and family altogether. During his bail plea hearing, Daniel’s father Paul Auster was deeply saddened and shattered. He was deeply affected by the demise of her lovely granddaughter Ruby.
