The statement continued,” Rosemarie’s kindness, generosity, and colorful spirit were legendary, and she had a positive impact on countless lives”. Her family asked for privacy after losing their beloved family member as they prepare to come to terms with their loss and also “to celebrate the life of an amazing woman”.

The statement continued,” We believe the best way to recognize Rosmarie is to demonstrate the same selfless kindness and generosity that she exemplified daily”. Rosmarie Trapp was born on February 8, 1929, in a village in Salzburg, Austria. She was the eldest child of her parents and had seven older half-siblings from her father’s widow. Her two siblings in the family were famously memorialized in the Broadway show and classic 1965 film “The Sound of Music”.

 The entire show shares the story of her parents that how her parents fell in love and escaped Austria as a family music group after she was being pressured by her father to cooperate with the Nazis. Later, her family moved to the United States in 1938, first they lived in Pennsylvania and then settled in Vermont.
