Denim jeans have proven to be a very important fashion tool. However, the bleeding or fading of jeans has proven to be a very serious issue as a Jean that looks so bright now would look so dull after you wash them.
This article looks at what we could do to minimize or stop the rate at which the Jean bleeds when we wash them.
The only thing needed is just a handful of NaCl, commonly known as salt. Before you wash your Jean, pour a handful of the salt in a bowl of water and soak the Jean in it before proceeding to wash it. The salt acts in a way that makes it impossible for the Jean to bleed.
Fill a bucket or tub with 1 gallon of water. Add 1 cup of table salt. Mix the salt and water so that the salt dissolves completely. Double the recipe if your garment is large or if you’re washing more than one item.
Submerge the clothing in the saltwater solution before the first wash. Let the clothing soak for a few hours.
Take the clothing out of the solution and launder as usual.
