The self-proclaimed “Thickney Spears” is hitting back at online trolls who have criticized her “mixed relationship” with her longtime boyfriend.
Plus-size lifestyle influencer Leah Stanley from Vermont met her partner Dan three years ago on the Bumble dating app.
Social Media Manager – Known as @VoluptuousLeah To her 240,000 followers on Instagram — and to her hometown of New Yorkers, she faced a string of haters who questioned their romance.
“People always think a fat guy like me should be with another fat guy, and it’s the opposite,” Stanley, 33, told NeedToKnow.Online. “Too bad it’s all based on jealous and judgmental minds, so these comments have zero value.”
Undeterred by the haters, Stanley proudly shares her happy life on social media with Dan, a 37-year-old tree surgeon who did not want to give her last name for privacy reasons, and she recently opened up about their relationship.

Lovebirds don’t like following social rules – according to the self-proclaimed Stanley, the weight gap “never bothered” Dan and herself.
“While our sex life is private, there are no concerns at all,” she added.
“The surprise that many people forget is that unless you and your partner are the same weight, your weight relationship is also mixed…your size doesn’t determine who you’re attracted to – your eyes and mind will.”

in a now popular video Upload to Instagramwhich racked up 14,700 views and hundreds of likes, Stanley shared some of the “stern” comments people posted.
“Mostly because I think the comments are so mindless, so they’re funny,” she captioned the clip. “It’s important to know that there will always be people who are not happy with what you do, and that’s why you need to live for yourself.”
She danced as multiple texts popped up on the screen, including: “He’s with you for the money,” “Run for your life,” and “He must be cheating on her.”

At the same time, she said, “It’s very important to take the focus away from size and weight and really show the love that can be formed between two people – no matter their size or appearance.”
Despite Stanley’s efforts to normalize “mixed relationships” — she’s also ready for people to get over it and move on. She “doesn’t want more labels” to define herself and Dan, she just wants “acceptance” so they can “exist and love like a heterosexual couple”.

Another assumption people wrongly make is that Dan is her brother and not her boyfriend, the social media star said.
But it’s not all hate online: Many commenters expressed support for Stanley’s brazenness and honesty, with one post saying: “I love this. You two are cute, you always look happy and smiling .”
“Hate people always hate! Your love is beautiful ❤️. He’s a lucky guy!” one fan wrote and another echoed: “Those poor t-ts. True love is rare (and they’re so jealous) have fun! 🙌❤️.”
