A South African electrician and businessman, Mpho Moerane survived in a fatal car crash last week and after that, he was admitted to the Johannesburg hospital. Being a businessman, he is a politician who was the mayor of Johannesburg between October and November 2021. Since then, the political suffered a horrific accident, his loved and colleagues are worried about his health condition as the fake rumors are speculated on social media. According to the sources, Mpho is going through a critical condition in the hospital and he is “fighting for his life”.
Since the news of his fatal accident went viral on social media, his loved ones are getting worried about him and want to know the cause of his accident. According to the reports, the accident took place in the north of Johannesburg. ANC spokesperson Pule Mabe said that Moerane is alive and fighting for his life. The reason behind this accident is unknown but the police is investigating the case if there is any foul play. Mpho’s close ones are worried regarding his health condition and want to know if something wrong happened with him in the hospital. It is relieving to hear that Mpho is stable and recovering from his injuries.

On Sunday, May 15, Mpho’s family condemned people circulating fake news about his death, saying that he is recovering.
They said,” Mpho Moerane family condemns in the strongest possible terms inhumane and false reports circulating about his death. We want to confirm Moerane is not dead. He is still in hospital where he is stable and recovering”.

This accident took place just days before he was due to contest for the regional chairperson position at the ANC Johannesburg elective conference. The family’s spokesperson, Mike Maile said,” We appeal to all those who are spreading the fake news announcing his death to desist from such as their actions are hurtful to the family, friends, and Moerane’s comrades”.
He was also a member of the African National Congress and had served as a member of the mayoral committee (MMC) for environment and infrastructure services from December 2019 to September 2021. Moerane is married to Fikile who is an IT and financial services consultant.
