As per the exclusive reports, a heavy fire broke out in the city of Cape Town which engulfed many houses. The authorities reported that the Langa fire is currently out of control. The city of Cape Town, Langa has already activated its full disaster and rescue, management teams. The fire incident took place on early Saturday evening in the Joe Slovo formal settlement of Lange. In just a few minutes, the fire engulfed several shacks and started to spread fastly.

As per the city of Cape Town Mayoral Committee Member for water and Sanitization, Zahid Badrooidien, a total of 12 fire engines are on the scene at this time. Apart from this, four water tankers are also being used to extinguish the fire. Law Enforcement and Traffic Services are currently in the area working with firefighters trying to save lives and homes. Badroodien said that the fire was still out of control at 8 pm on Saturday.  There is no information about the fire that has been made public yet.

The fire was first reported to City Fire and Rescue Services at around 6 pm. As per the aid group Gift of The Givers, it is estimated that more than 100 structures have burnt out. It has been reported that around 20 buried bodies were found by the rescue team. Now, the teams are trying to dig out those bodies. There are many details that are yet to be disclosed.
