Actor Joseph Gart, who has appeared in several episodes of “Game of Thrones,” was arrested on March 6, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. In a press release posted on the LAPD’s website on Tuesday, police said the juvenile unit of the Children’s Cybercrime Task Force arrested Gatt, 50, in the early hours of March 6.

Police received information that the British actor, who lives in Los Angeles, had “engaged in pornographic online exchanges with minors across state lines,” according to the release.
Gate was arrested by detectives on a pending felony warrant, the LAPD said in a news release.
Police are looking for possible other victims and are asking anyone with more information to contact law enforcement, the release said.

After his release, Gate issued a statement on his Twitter account on Wednesday.
“I certainly want to address the absolutely appalling and totally untrue allegations made recently against me,” the statement said. “You are 100% absolutely wrong and recklessly wrong. I have acknowledged the false and misleading information in today’s press release. I am fully cooperating with the police and the LAPD to find out. I look forward to clearing my good name.”
He then thanked his friends and supporters, adding: “For legal reasons, I cannot comment further on social media.”
Gate’s previous acting credits include three episodes of Game of Thrones as Thenn Warg. He also recently appeared in Dumbo and NCIS: New Orleans. Gate has a role in the upcoming DC movie “Black Adam.”
