The summer transfer windows official close today at 11pm. However, it hasn’t slowed down many clubs from completing negotiations and striking deals for players to add to their squads.
Here are the major deadline day deals completed so far:
Ben Godfrey – Norwich to Everton (£20 million)
Everton have confirmed the signing of England Center Back, Ben Godfrey, from Norwich for a sum of 20 million pounds. Carlo Ancelotti had made it clear to the Everton board that he wanted to strengthen the defense. They had earlier targeted Chelsea’s Fikayo Tomori on loan but a deal fell through because Frank Lampard wanted to keep him at Stamford Bridge. Godfrey moves from relegated Norwich and joins the in-form Toffees who currently sit top of the Premier League.
Douglas Costa – Juventus to Bayern (Loan)
Bayern Munich have secured the signing of Douglas Costa from Juventus on a season long loan deal. The Brazilian winger played for Bayern from 2015 to 2017, when he made the move to Juventus on an initial loan deal before signing permanently for the Italian Serie A side.
He returns to the Allianz Arena for a second stint with the German champions.
Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting – PSG to Bayern Munich (Free)
Cameroon international, Choupo-Moting also joins Bayern Munich after leaving PSG as a free agent. The 31 year old has signed a contract until June 30, 2021.

Manchester United have agreed deals to sign veteran striker Edinson Cavani and Porto left-back Alex Telles. The pair are currently at Carrington having medicals ahead before official announcements.
Cavani signs for the Red devils as a free agent from PSG and will sign a two year deal with the club.
Telles is expected to arrive at Old Trafford on a five-year deal after United agreed a £15.4m deal with Porto on Sunday. The 27-year-old Brazilian – who is into the final year of his Porto contract – will fly to Brazil to join up with the national team once he has completed his move to United.
Arsenal trigger Thomas Partey £45 million release clause (Source : Skysports)
Arsenal have submitted a bid of 45 million pounds to Athletico Madrid for the signature of Thomas Partey. Mikel Arteta is an admirer of the 27-year-old Ghanaian defensive midfielder and it seems he will finally get his man to the Emirates Stadium after matching Atletico’s price tag. Arsenal will want to balance the wage books and Lucas Torreira is presently in Madrid having a medical with Atletico (loan), while Matteo Guendouzi is set to leave on loan too.
