Man Utd at odds with Uruguay club after ‘agreeing’ deal for starlet winger
Manchester United have negotiated a deal with Uruguay-based side Atletico Penarol to sign rising star winger Facundo Pellistri, according to a report.
United have so far only made one major signing this transfer window, with Donny van de Beek arriving from Ajax.
However they have invested heavily in their youth ranks; prized Barcelona youngster Marc Jurado has signed, as has Alejandro Garnacho from Atletico Madrid.
According to Uruguayan football expert Sebastian Giovanelli, Pellistri could be next on the list.
Manchester United ‘ready to launch£35m bid for Sevilla star Lucas Ocampos’
Manchester United ‘are considering a £35million bid for Sevilla’s Lucas Ocampos’ if they fail in their pursuits of Jadon Sancho and Ousmane Dembele.
As Monday’s transfer deadline fast approaches, United have been forced to seek alternatives to Sancho after hitting an impasse with Borussia Dortmund over their £108m asking price.
Barcelona’s Dembele emerged as a potential Plan B this week either on loan or for a fee of around £45m with the Spanish club keen to sell.
However, according to ESPN, a third option has now emerged in the form of Sevilla forward Ocampos.
They report the Spanish club would be willing to part with the 26-year-old Argentina international for around £35m
Conflicting reports over Real Madrid’s Aouar interest / PSG rule themselves out of the running for Arsenal target
Houssem Aouar’s departure from Lyon appeared confirmed after the arrival of Lucas Paqueta.
It is well documented that Arsenal have been attempting to agree a deal with the French club to sign Aouar however are yet to reach common ground.
During Paqueta’s reveal press conference, Lyon President Jean-Michel Aulas revealed 3 clubs were chasing the Frenchman’s signature.
Knowing of Arsenal’s interest it was reported Juventus was one of the other clubs.
Later, one more club confirmed and ended their interest in Aouar. French champions Paris Saint-Germain were supposedly looking at Aouar but Sporting Director Leonardo has ruled out a ‘dream’ move.
