Marka Bodine, 32, was found guilty of assaulting a teenager. Bodin met the young man while working as an English teacher at Tomball Middle School in Texas. When Bodin first met the boy, she was already married. Court records show Bodine had sex with children multiple times in her car and in the classroom over the course of three years of abuse. After the divorce, she even moved into his apartment.

The pair discovered the inappropriate relationship in 2021 after Bodine reported harassment by a former student to the Tomball Middle School principal, court records say. Bodine reminded the principal that the 13-year-old had access to her private photos, as well as edited photos of her, and threatened to harm herself.

Investigators said a search of Bodine’s cellphone and the boy’s found a trove of messages and photos exchanged between the two. Some of the photos have sexual features. According to the affidavit, the young man told detectives that Bodine became friends with him while playing online video games and later started texting him.

Shortly after he turned 13, the two began exchanging obscene photos and engaging in sexual activity, the child said. Another three years passed in their relationship. The boy allegedly told investigators that Bodine even moved to his residence after the divorce, and the two often had sex in her classroom and in the car.

Investigators claim that Bodin eventually admitted to having sex with the former student and sent pictures and videos.

The child’s father, now 16, is not a boy. She must also be registered as a sex offender, prosecutors said.
