Young striker Martian Satriano is increasingly likely to remain at Inter this season as speculation mounts surrounding the futures of the club’s other forwards.

As reported in yesterday’s newspaper edition of Corriere dello Sport, the 20-year-old had appeared set to be sent out on loan this term, but has impressed new coach Simone Inzaghi in preseason sufficiently for the ex-Lazio tactician to reconsider.

Satriano’s prospects of being involved in the first team have been boosted further by the impending sale of Romelu Lukaku to Chelsea, whilst fellow forward Lautaro Martinez has also garnered interest from abroad.

Argentina international Martinez is set to miss the opening game of the new Serie A season against Genoa through suspension and there are doubts about Alexis Sanchez’s fitness following his involvement in Chile’s Copa America campaign, paving the way for Satriano.

The newspaper warns that Inter are currently in no position to start the new season and Inzaghi is unlikely to have a full strength attack, even if directors Beppe Marotta and Piero Ausilio bring in a replacement for Lukaku within the next two weeks.
