Soccer fans across the world are happy because their favorite competitions are back this weekend. The 2020/2021 English premier league will kick off this weekend and fans can’t wait to watch their favorite clubs compete for the title.
Manchester United fans will have to wait for another week before they watch their club play their first game of the season against Crystal Palace. Their first game against Burnley was postponed because of United involvement in the Europa League competition last season.
Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw was sidelined with an ankle injury which he sustained against 1-1 draw with Southampton last season at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils manage Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed that the star will play against Aston Villa in a friendly this weekend.
Solskjær: “For me, Luke [Shaw] is looking really good in training. He has come back, looking strong, and will play in the friendly against Villa.”
The boss also provided an update on Manchester United center-back Axel Tuazebe and said he will be ready to start soon since he is getting closer to return.
The big news was on Paul Pogba’s return since he tested positive for coronavirus. Ole Gunnar said the world cup winner and said he will be back and ready for next weekend.
Solskjær: “Hopefully, he’ll [Pogba] be ready for next weekend. I am not 100 percent sure though.” Solskjær: “Paul’s [Pogba] had a couple of training sessions so he’s lost out on a few sessions because of the virus, of course. But Paul is quick to get fit. Of course, he worked really hard to get back after lockdown last time and played the majority of the games.”
Manchester United will play against Aston Villa in a friendly this weekend then start their season against Crystal Palace next weekend.
