The PUNCH accumulated that the 42-year-old that was the next surviving child of their revered cleric died in his sleep Wednesday in Eket, Akwa Ibom State, where he was with his family.

Our correspondent gathered from reliable sources at the church that the deceased, the Assistant Pastor in control of Area (Youth) 35, had ministered the last day.

He was thought to have retired to his bed and didn’t awaken.

“He was not sick and didn’t complain of any such thing ahead of the episode. Pastors in the church were summoned to beg for him, all to no avail,” a source included.

Several leaders of the church that affirmed the incident said they were not able to discuss it.

However, the Head of Media and Public Relations, RCCG,” Pastor Olaitan Olubiyi, affirmed the tragedy on Thursday morning.

He stated, “It is true. The episode happened in Eket at which he had been based. I really don’t have the facts now. Maybe before the end of today, we will issue a statement”

Dare would have been 43 yrs of age the following month, June.

Dare was married with kids.
