The Coordinator of the Middle Belt Movement for Justice and Peace (MBMJP), Mr. Joe Bukka, has deplored the prolonged strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).
He expressed his sentiments recently, describing the strike as a “national disgrace.” He said that Nigerians were not happy with the government due to the ASUU strike, insecurity and other crises plaguing the country.
However, he stressed that it was necessary for President Muhammadu Buhari to handle the matter himself, in the same way that former President Jonathan Ebele handled the problem during his administration.
He said in quotes: “ We urge President Buhari to adopt the same strategy to cancel this strike because it is a national shame that our public universities have been closed for so long and our leaders are busy talking about politics without realizing the fact that a country is in trouble. when their human capital development is stagnant.
