We are recruiting a technically sound and result-oriented individual to fill the position below:
Job Title: Procurement Assistant
Ref Code: GPLX/PHC/01/21
Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
You will be responsible for assisting in all procurement activities.
Conducting market surveys to get current market prices
Sourcing of materials needed for all operational needs
Prepare cost analyses
Maintain updated records of invoices and contracts
Follow up with suppliers, as needed, to confirm or change orders.
Purchase items at the best competitive prices without compromising quality
Identify purchasing needs
Evaluate offers from vendors and negotiates better prices
Qualifications and Requirements
Minimum of Second-Class Upper Degree in any Social Science related courses
A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a similar position.
Good bargaining skills
Familiar with the Oil Industry Market and Mechanical Spares
Applicants MUST be residents in Port Harcourt.
Great communication and interpersonal skills.
Computer literate with proficiency in the use of MS-office

How to write a cover letter that gets you the job
Here’s how to make a great cover letter for a job application:
Underneath your name in your cover letter header, list the following contact details:
First and last name
Email address (something professional, usually including your name)
Mailing address (optional)
Linkedin profile link (optional)
Portfolio or website (optional)
After your header, include the date and following company contact information:
First and last name of the person you’re writing to, or the relevant department
Company phone number
Hiring manager’s email address
2. Address the hiring manager (ideally by their name)
Next, address your cover letter to the hiring manager by name if possible. A standard cover letter salutation includes the hiring manager’s first and last name, and begins with a “Mr.”, “Ms.”, or another relevant professional title.
