Shannon Bream has been selected to take over the Fox News Sunday show, long hosted by Chris Wallace, making her the first host in the show’s 26-year history Female reporter for the show.
Fox News said Thursday that her official term on the show will begin on September 11. Bream will continue to serve as the network’s chief legal correspondent. Rotating reporters will guest-star on anchor Bream’s current show, the midnight-focused “Fox News @ Night,” until a permanent replacement is identified.
“For the past 15 years, it has been my privilege to cover breaking news across Washington on Fox News,” Bream said in a prepared statement. “I’m very grateful for the opportunity to host Sunday’s show and look forward to this new role.”
