Have you ever experienced the pain and the discomfort of a swollen gum? Yes, I just did and got over it.
Swollen gum can be caused by a variety of things such as an injury from brush your teeth with a hard tooth brush (irritation), not brushing your teeth properly or frequent use of tobacco which is popularly known as snuff in Nigeria.
If you are experiencing the discomfort of a swollen gum, see below how to get rid of it at home without going to see a doctor.
1. Engage in the use of warm water and salt solution – This method has proven to be one of the ways of reducing swollen gum. To do this, you can mix 1 teaspoon of salt into a half cup of water and rinse your mouth for about 30 seconds. Doing this routine 3 times a day will help reduce the swelling.Please note that as soon as you finish brushing your teeth, do not rinse your mouth with regular water, but with warm water in other to sooth the effect of the swelling.
2. Taking 100mg Vitamin C – as you continue to reduce the swelling of the gum using the warm water salt solution, the next step in getting rid of swollen gum is to take 100mg Vitamin C.
We all know that Vitamin C boost the body immune system up to fight diseases and even get rid of scurvy, cold and catarrh. When you take 5-10 100mg of Vitamin C, you will be amazed at how fast your swollen gum will reduce.
These two methods have been proven to be effective in eradicating the discomfort of a swollen gum even without visiting a doctor. It is important to note that what I just shared was what I recently used to get rid of a swollen gum.
