Thor’s trusty Mjolnir and interstellar jammers, the mythical symbol of Asgard, and Gore’s evil golden sword – these are just some of the illustrations that you can now ink on yourself in the form of makeshift flashes, That’s thanks to Inkbox’s new Thor-inspired collaboration with Marvel.
The 12-piece tattoo collection debuted this week at San Diego Comic-Con and will be available for purchase online at Inkbox.com on Thursday, July 21 at 10AM ET. At Comic-Con, the Toronto-based brand will open a shop with its iconic tattoo roulette at Marvel’s booth, which will include 12 tattoos exclusive to in-person attendees. These tattoos will go beyond the Thor series to include designs throughout the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Inkbox will also be offering a limited number of surprise giveaways from the new collection throughout the weekend.
“Inkbox has always leveraged pop culture to help our customers reinvent their changing personal identities and express their passions,” said Woozae Kim, Inkbox’s chief marketing officer, in a statement. “Partnering with Marvel elevates this approach to A whole new level and allows our two communities to celebrate their passions through these custom-designed and engaged experiences.”
The collection also includes line drawings of the enchanted Stormbreaker ax, the flying Jane Foster, and the Valkerie of the winged horse Aragon.
“Love and Thunder,” which topped the box-office chart earlier this month with a $143 million debut, is the fourth Thor franchise and the second Thor film to be directed and written by Taika Vititi. In it, Chris Hemsworth returns as the brawny Asgardian superhero who teamed up with ex-boyfriend Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) to defeat galactic villain Gore (Christian Bale).
