The incident passed off on Sunday. The theft was caught on the CCTV digital digital camera put in throughout the ATM gross sales area.

Within the video, the excavator is seen smashing the glass door of the kiosk and uprooting the ATM system which belonged to Axis Financial institution.

Issues went flawed when the excavator got caught in a pothole. The thieves needed to abandon the excavator and the ATM system and flee.

The police recovered the excavator which was stolen from a close-by petrol pump. The ATM system with Rs 27 lakh cash was moreover recovered. An investigation is underway to nab the thieves.

“A JCB was stolen from the petrol pump after which, they used this JCB to steal the ATM system. We found the stolen JCB and moreover found the ATM system. There was Rs. 27 lakh cash within the ATM system,” inspector Chandrakant Bedre, in worth of Miraj Gramin Police station, instructed ANI.

Bedre added, “We’re investigating the CCTV photographs of the petrol pump. And from the knowledge available now we’ve got formed two teams for the investigation.”
