Paul Sorvino’s daughter, Mira, paid tribute to her late father with a touching put up on Twitter, and emotional followers are revisiting her Oscar speech from 1996, which left her father in tears.
The actor is survived by his partner, Dee Dee Benkie, and three youngsters: Amanda, Michael, and Mira. He reportedly took his remaining breath on the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida.
Paul was best recognized for having fun with the mobster, Paulie Cicero, in Martin Scorsese’s GoodFellas.

At the 68th Academy Awards in 1996, Mira gained the Oscar for The Actress in a Supporting Role for her attribute in Mighty Aphrodite.
She began her speech by thanking Woody Allen for her beautiful character sooner than mentioning her supervisor Jean Fox, buddies, and family.
However, it was her speech devoted to her father that moved all people, along with the actor himself.
She acknowledged: “And if you give me this award, you honor my father Paul Sorvino, who has taught me every little thing I find out about performing. I really like you very a lot, dad.
“I always looked at great performances and was so moved by how much other people’s hearts made me feel as a child. And I wanted to be an actor who could move other people and make other people see something about the human spirit, and you’ve made me feel that I’ve made a small step towards that.”

Paul Sorvino’s 1996 video resurfaces
Fans have dug up Mira’s earlier video to revisit the father-daughter second as a result of the veteran actor handed away.
The clip reveals an emotional Mira’s voice break as she thanked Paul throughout the viewers for making her objectives come true.

Jason Alexander tweeted: “The amazing Paul Sorvino has passed. From Baker’s Wife on Bway to Shakespeare in the Park to all the incredible film/tv roles – he was magnificent in all. Blessings to his friends and family.”
“As well as his acting work, we should salute Paul Sorvino for starting a dog adoption organization with his daughter Amanda in 2002 that they called – yes – DogFellas,” tweeted Nick de Semlyan.
And, Peter Guy noted: “Legendary actor Paul Sorvino has died aged 83. As Paul Cicero in Goodfellas, he taught generations how to slice garlic like a true Boss. Rest in Peace.”
