Lisa Curry’s daughter, Jamie Curry, dies of illness.
On September 14, 2020, Jamie Curry passed away at the age of 33 due to a long illness. Her death was caused by alcoholism and an eating disorder.
Curry won’t reveal Jamie’s cause of death until 2022. But she explicitly mentioned her daughter in the interview. She cried as she spoke of Lisa: 60 Years of Life, Love, and Loss, her most recent book.
The author of the book admits that the book was difficult to complete because she started writing it when she didn’t want to get out of bed. While we seem to have had a lot of fun and accomplished great things over the past two decades, every day has been tough.
According to the former gold medalist, her daughter’s death addiction is a “terrible beast”. Between the two questions, she said, “It’s not them.” It’s dependency. It was terrifying to watch the beasts take control of their bodies.
Curry claims that despite Jamie’s addiction, she has been showing a positive attitude.
“She would sit on the bed and take pictures of various objects, laughing with the staff and giving her thumbs up. Every time she went to the hospital, she would send me a picture. She seemed to have a thousand lives. She also Always goes home.”
Lisa Curry is now grateful for the time she spent with Morgan Kenny.
