On Tuesday, August 3, 2022, Dave Temkin wrote: “I heard Vijay Gill passed away today. I’m so upset because Vijay meant so much to me and my friends. Sarcastic and rude, but always trustworthy and honest.
He was very important to me and helped me through the most difficult period of my career. My heart goes out to his family.

Computer Science Specialist and IT Director Vijay Gill. He has been the Senior Vice President of Engineering at RapidAPI Inc. since October 2021.
He attended the University of Maryland in Baltimore, where he earned degrees in computer science and mathematics.
According to his LinkedIn profile, Jill started his career at UMBC as a system administrator. After that, he worked at UUNET/Worldcom for two years until May 2000 as a network engineer.
This computer science graduate has held various positions at MFN/Abovenet, AOL, and the Internet Architecture Council from 2000 to 2010.
When Gill joined Google in November 2006, his career took a significant boost. He started as a member of the technical team and worked his way up to the management level. At Google, he oversaw production network engineering and architecture.
After leaving Google, he served as general manager at Microsoft, overseeing the team that oversees the global infrastructure that provides Microsoft’s online services to consumers and companies around the world. In 2015, he left the company.
The former Googler later accepted the position of Senior Vice President of Software Engineering at Sales Force. He ended up working for Databricks, Twilio Inc., and his current company RapidAPI.
SVP is responsible for RapidAPI’s infrastructure, platform, and product. His experience has led to several improvements to the RapidAPI system, ultimately making the platform one of the most efficient API hubs.
He also focuses on IoT, Big Data, Telemetry, Visualization, and ML/A.
