Charlie joined ABC News in 1975 as a standard job reporter and correspondent based in Washington, D.C. Likewise, he served as a reporter and anchor for WLVA (now WSET) television in Lynchburg, Virginia, after turning into a member of RKO General in 1966 as a producer.

Later, he moved to WMAL-TV (now WJLA), an ABC neighborhood station in Washington, D.C., in 1970. In 1974, Gibson began working for the syndicated data service Television News Inc. (TVN).

He coated the Watergate affair investigations and President Richard Nixon’s resignation for TVN.

Before that, throughout the Eighties, Charles’s partner was the highest of the middle school at Bryn Mawr School in Baltimore, Maryland. Arlene for the time being serves on the board of trustees at Bryn Mawr College in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania.

Charlie and Arlene have been blessed with two daughters collectively ensuing from their marriage. Jessica and Katherine Gibson are their names.
