A second death of the student in the space of the week has shocked the entire Dale College Boys High School. An 18-years-old rugby player of the Dale College named Liyabona Teyise sadly passed away. The college student died on Saturday, April 9, 2022. According to the sources, Teyise suffered a head injury in a derby match against the Port Rex Technical High School. After the incident took place, he was taken to the Frere Provincial Hospital in East London. In the hospital, Teyise was assessed with a CT scan which was showing the bleeding on the brain.

In the night of Saturday, he passed away overnight. The headmaster of Dale College, Garth Shaw was present at the time of the incident and the mishap took place just before half-time. Garth Shaw told Daily Maverick,” The collision was very innocent in how it was. As rugby collisions go, it wasn’t a big impact collision. I think it was a freak accident”.
