The Police Chief went on to say that at least three suspects showed firearms inside the mall but are working to determine how many suspects fired weapons. Besides, it is reported that the officers seized at least one firearm. Daniel Johnson, who was present at the place when the horrific shootout happened, said that he and his family were eating in the food court when they suddenly heard shots ring out. It resulted in people running here and there. According to Johnson, people were screaming for their loved ones.
Johnson wanted to make sure that everyone in his family headed toward the exit safely as it was not something they had planned for Easter. Let us add, hours after the shooting, heavy police presence continued in the area. However, the vehicles were not stopped as the officers let more traffic through the streets.
