Gerry Horgan, a well-known Dublin cafe owner, has passed away. As per reports, Horgan died at St Vincent’s Hospital on Thursday, March 31, 2022. Mr. Horgan will be put to rest at the Church of the Holy Name, Beechwood Avenue, on Saturday at 11 AM for a funeral liturgy, followed by interment in St Mary’s Cemetery, Enniscorthy, on Monday at 12 PM. According to the obituary on RIP.ie, Gerry Horgan (Ranelagh, Dublin and formerly Court Street in Enniscorthy and Gerry’s Cafe Montague Street, Dublin) March 31, peacefully surrounded by his family, in the loving arms of all the staff at the Redwood Ward at St. Vincent’s Private Hospital.

The notice further stated that Gerry was the husband of Mary, who passed away lately, and the loving father of Olwyn and Daire. The cafe owner left behind his mother and father, brother John, and sister Carmel before his death. He is survived by his sisters Mary and Margaret, brother Michael, son-in-law Stephen, nephew Nicholas and his wife Sarah, god-daughter Alex, nieces, nephews, and friends. Hundreds of people have been senfingf their sincere and deepest condolences to Gerry Horgan’s family.

People are describing the late cafe owner as a hard-working, lovely man and a true gentleman. Paying tributes to Gerry, one person wrote, “RIP a true gentleman”. The user added that Gerry made the best fries he one could get in town. Another one expressed his sorrow on the news and called Gerry a lovely man who always cared for others. A third person went on to share a post on the platform where he wrote that he used to go a lot to Gerry’s.

The man further added that he made many breakfasts over the years and he has very fond memories of Horgan and gis cage. As mentioned above, Gerry Horgan was the well-known owner of the highly popular Gerry’s cafe. The cafe was reportedly located on Montague Street in Dublin’s City Centre.
