Joy and sorrow at the Same Time
Manchester United reignited the fire towards the closure of the summer transfer window. Having secured the signature of Donny Van de Beek from Ajax Amsterdam, United were on pressure to add more signings.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the Red Devils completed signing of Edinson Cavani, Alex Telles, Amad Traore and Facundo Pellistri. Traore will join in January for a deal up to €40m including add ons. Pellistri joins on a permanent deal worth around £10m.
Apparently, Alex Telles will play a vital role in the Red Devils defense. That is one of the transfers that the fans have been anticipating. The supporters have expressed their joy on the signing as well as disappointment in missing Jadon Sancho.
However, the arrival of Edinson Cavani from PSG have stirred some reactions from fans. Many individuals believe that the transfer has both advantages and disadvantages.
The good part of the deal is that Cavani is a goal machine. He will surely help Ole Gunnar’s side get a couple of wins in the long run. Jose Mourinho acknowledge that the player will be of great aid to Manchester United.
His arrival might however dim some players’ candles and rekindling them might take a while. Cavani is noted to be a very experienced and talented player. We have no doubts in what he will bring forth for the club’s benefit at large.
Worries are all over because Cavani might nail the starting eleven spot thus killing the United youngsters’ morale. Mason Greenwood and Martial are on the rise. And we well know that this arrival might negatively impact Anthony Martial more than any player.
All in all we should be looking forward to winning matches. Healthy competitions are called for, especially now that the club seems in a shamble.
Donny Van de Beek, Alex Telles and Edinson Cavani might have come to help United in various positions. I suppose these are better signings that will help the club move to better positions in these tough league.
I believe they are all equal to the task!
We wish the newcomers all the best in their endeavours. English Premier League is already propelling and the heat in it is felt upon looking at the table.
