âActive shooterâ calls at 233 S. Wacker Dr. Chicago police spokesman Tom Ahern confirmed that this was not in good faith.
Some workers on the 50th floor were allowed to return to their desks as of 3:15 p.m. after officers searched the floor, police said.
Others on some lower floors appeared to be taking cover, police said.
Chicago Fire Department spokesman Larry Langford said the ambulance did not respond.
