I Have Been Hearing Your Noise, I’m Not Scared Of You, Prison Are Meant For Human Not Animal—Fayose

According to a report by Daily Post on Friday, 5 June 2026, Isaac Fayose, younger brother of former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose, has stated that he is unshaken by alleged threats from political opponents as he prepares to return to Nigeria ahead of the next Ekiti governorship election.

He made the remarks in a Facebook video where he announced plans to leave Australia and come back to Nigeria to participate in political activities leading up to the election. Fayose said he had been abroad following the death of his wife but was now ready to re-engage in Ekiti politics.

He maintained that despite what he described as attempts to intimidate him, he would still return and take part in the political process. According to him, the current administration of Governor Biodun Oyebanji is nearing the end of its tenure, and Ekiti residents would ultimately decide the state’s future through the ballot.

In the video, he dismissed concerns about arrest or intimidation, saying, “I have been hearing your noise. I’m not scared of you. Prison are meant for human beings, not animals. If you want to arrest me, arrest me. I am coming back to Ekiti State before the election.”

Fayose also criticised the Oyebanji administration, alleging that it had underperformed despite the resources available to the state. He argued that citizens should evaluate government performance and determine whether they want continuity or a change in leadership.

He further stressed that elections should reflect the will of the people rather than intimidation or political pressure, insisting that voters in Ekiti State would decide the outcome based on accountability and governance results.
